What stays on your device
Your routines, goals, reading plans and confirmations, settings, allowed-app selections, session history, and private reflections are stored on your device. We do not operate an account system for the current personal-device app and do not upload this information to a Kingdom Focus server. We do not use this personal focus data for advertising or cross-app tracking. Optional store billing is described separately below.
Private reflection and session-history files are excluded from the app’s device backups. Android also excludes its other app data from backup and device transfer. Apple may include routine configuration and preferences in your device backup according to your system settings. Device security and any system backup remain governed by Apple or your Android provider.
Your recovery files
Versions with Data & recovery let you export a file containing personal routines, goals, reading-plan progress and confirmation history, preferences, session history and private reflections. Kingdom Focus does not encrypt this exported file. Choose a location you control and share it deliberately. If you choose a cloud file provider or another app as the destination, that provider handles the file under its own privacy policy; the export does not upload it to a Kingdom Focus server.
Import validates the file, shows a preview and asks before replacing local data. Permission grants, accessibility consent receipts, Apple app-selection tokens, live focus sessions and family credentials are not transferred. Restored routines and Morning first scheduling stay off until you review and enable them. Recovery files are platform-specific; Android and iOS files are not interchangeable. An update normally retains local data, but deletion, reinstall or moving to a new phone must not be assumed to recover it. Keep a valid recovery copy outside the app before making those changes.
Permissions and app protection
On Apple devices, Screen Time authorization allows Kingdom Focus to schedule and apply app shields. Apple’s app picker supplies privacy-preserving selection tokens. The app stores those tokens locally; it does not send your selections to us.
On Android, optional app blocking uses the AccessibilityService API to identify the package name of the app opened during a focus session you start or schedule. It uses that identifier on your device to display the focus screen when an app is restricted by your settings. The service does not read screen text, messages, passwords or keystrokes, and does not store or share foreground-app event histories. Your selected allowed-app identifiers and your versioned disclosure consent choice are stored locally. The app does not transmit an installed-app inventory. App blocking is optional: timers and planning remain available without it. You can disable the service or uninstall Kingdom Focus in Android Settings at any time, including during strict focus. Overlay and alarm access serve scheduled-session presentation and timing; they do not grant screen-content access.
You choose whether to grant these permissions and can revoke them in system settings. Without required permissions, app protection cannot operate. Notifications are optional. Adding a routine to a calendar opens your device’s calendar interface so you can review and save it. Events saved there are handled by your chosen calendar provider.
Optional contributions
The App Store or Google Play processes optional developer tips. We do not receive your payment-card details. The app receives purchase status and transaction information from the store and stores the information needed to verify the purchase and show your dated thank-you badge. Store billing libraries communicate with Apple or Google to provide and maintain purchasing services. On Android, Google Play Billing connects when the app opens, including when you do not make a contribution. Its library sends billing diagnostics to Google, including technical error and performance information, app and library versions, Android version, device characteristics such as model and memory, and a randomly generated billing-client session identifier used to associate related diagnostic events. This session identifier is not an advertising ID and is generated for each billing-client instance. These diagnostics are separate from your routines, reading progress and private reflections. The app does not provide a switch to disable this billing diagnostic collection. Their handling and retention are governed by Google’s privacy policy; deleting Kingdom Focus local data does not delete information already held by Google. The store may provide us with transaction and financial reports under its own terms. A pending or canceled purchase does not create a confirmed contribution.
Purchases and refunds are subject to the relevant store’s policies: Apple privacy policy and Google privacy policy.
External apps and services
Opening JW Library, the App Store, Google Play, or another external app brings you to that provider’s service. Their privacy policies apply to what you do there. Siri and Shortcuts are provided by Apple. Kingdom Focus does not include private reflections in Siri results.
When you contact us
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to answer your request and investigate the issue. Please avoid sending passcodes, passwords, payment-card details, children’s personal information, or private reflections. We retain support correspondence only as needed to handle the request, related follow-up, and applicable record-keeping obligations. You may ask us to delete your correspondence by contacting us below.
This website
These support pages are part of pragmatic.onl. The website may process ordinary request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to serve and protect the site. See the Pragmatic Developments website privacy policy for website-specific practices. The native app’s local data practices are described separately above.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit or delete routines in the app, change or clear a reflection, and change your permissions in system settings. Removing the app deletes its local data through the operating system; Android also offers a clear-storage action. Calendar events you saved remain in your calendar until you delete them there. Store purchase records and any device backups are controlled by the relevant provider. We cannot recover a private reflection from our servers because it is not uploaded to us.
Children and family features
The current personal-device app does not collect children’s personal information through accounts or a remote family service. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s installation and permission choices. Any future remote family synchronization will require a separate, visible setup and an updated description of its data handling before it is enabled.
